this picture cracks me up!

my grandma sent me this picture in an email that she forwarded to me. the first thing i thought when i saw this picture was " dude, that would totally be chloe if i had another baby right now." ha ha ha ha

10 years ago...

it really tripped me out the other day when i realized that i've been a mom now for 10 years. at this time, exactly 10 years ago i found out that i was pregnant. at 17 years old and a senior in high school you could definitely say that i was NOT ready to be a mommy. but my heart told me that this baby needed me and i knew deep down that i needed this baby too. so i had him. a baby boy, clayton james sewall. and he truly is my angel. he has shown me what unconditional love really means. okay, now i'm getting a little teary so let me stop with all this emotional stuff.... anyways, i love you clay... you'll always be my number one man!

things are lookin up already

last night i fell asleep snuggled between the 2 most important things in my life: my babies. we all slept in my bed last night... tigger too. and this morning while i was taking clay to school he was cracking me up the whole way there. i love it when its just me and him and we can be silly together. i love making him laugh. he gets the same twinkle in his bright blue eyes that his momma does when she is happy. i love it. i love them...

a week

it started last sunday when i was forced to go to the hospital. monday tuesday wednesday thursday friday and saturday were all shitty days too. i mean, there were definitely moments when i cracked a smile, but the days were mostly filled with suckiness: countless fights with my mom, my x moved back to finland and left the kids (again), feeling sicker than ever.... i could go on but i'm really not looking for sympathy. the point of all of this is that - yes, i had a bad week. it was one of the worst for me, both physically and emotionally. but its over now. and im stronger.

all in a day...

went to the zoo with chloe and nana. it was such a gorgeous day and the animals were all out and about. the lions posed quite nicely for me:i love elephants' eyelashesmy favorite little guysit was feeding time for the bats. they were going nuts! ive never seen them fight so much! man, they are some cool creaturestime for a snack. me and chloe got nachos. she had to have her own because she doesn't like the "hot things mommy puts on her nachos."mmmm.... cheesy later that day the girls had soccer practice. they are so cute together... duh. they HAD to be on the same team for a little scrimmage... made me and lori think back to when we were in high school, playing basketball in PE, refusing to be on separate teams... when "the package" was born... ah, memories...found this radical spider just hanging out. everyone was so afraid of this thing. i mean, dont get me wrong, the thing was HUGE. but its a fricking spider... and i thought it was beautiful... the way it blended in perfectly with the orange autumn leaves. i swear, half the kids' practice was spent trying to "save" the spider from being killed from stupid people.


my buddy. i love this guy so much. whenever he says my name i just melt. we hung out together while watching the girls play soccer
dinner time.... or as my grandparents say,"supper time"
chloe wouldnt eat the food on her plate... but papa's food on his plate tasted pretty good to her.

its, like, a 3 year plan

been pondering what im gonna do with myself, career-wise lately. trying to figure out what you want to be when you grow up at the age of 27 is kind of difficult. and my options are some-what limited because my top priority in life is and will always be taking care of my babies. and i recently left my job at the brewery because they were buttholes and i was too positive for that place anyways. but i need money. so i was thinking i could just get another job waitressing or whatevs. but then i realized that its time to be more, to do more... something for me. ive always loved doing hair.. cutting, coloring.. ive just always had kind of a "knack" for it... so ive decided to start beauty school next year when chloe starts kindergarten... god, just thinking that chloe is starting regular school next year makes me wanna cry. anyways, so yeah, beauty school next year. but i need money NOW!!! so i got a job. today. i am now an employee of the pleasanton unified school district. woot! my job description is a noon-supervisor... but in reality, im a yard-duty. seriously. ha ha ha. i remember the yard duties when i went to school and they were NOTHING like me... old, cranky hags with really bad wigs who blew their whistles at EVERYTHING and walked around wearing fanny packs.... i told clay that i'll be working at his school now. he's stoked! i guess im a pretty cool mom if my son is excited that i'll be seeing him everyday at school. so there it is: my 3-year plan. go me!

trolls!!

up in the attic yesterday i spotted a small box with my name on it... it was spelled " Jenny" so i knew it must be relatively old since i havent spelled my name like that since i was 13. so i opened up the box and saw tiny poofs of different colored hair... hmm. then i saw their great big eyeballs and i knew i had just stumbled upon my old troll collection! i was stoked. these little guys are so rad. so... being the total nerd that i am, i took pictures of my small collection of trolls. here they are:
