how does my garden grow...

my garden has been looking pretty sad lately so i thought it would be fun for me and chloe to go to home depot to pick out some new flowers to plant. i let chloe pick out most of the flowers... she really liked the mums and had to get one of every color. i picked out a pretty Hawaiian-type plant and some cute orange and yellow flowers... twenty bucks well spent at home depot!

we came home. put on our matching gardening gloves. and got to work.

chloe took this shot of me... see how she took all the mums out and lined them up? chloe loves any excuse to play in the dirt. and she's quite the little gardener! musta gotten her momma's green thumb : )

i'll post another blog when the flowers start blooming cause right now it looks kinda lame. but im excited... i love new flowers.

first rain

woke up this morning to the pitter patter of tiny rain drops. it was nice. so i layed in bed and had a rather lazy morning. the wetness brought out the snails. they are such different little creatures when they are out and about in the rain. actually, i think they're pretty darn cute..

kidz love soccer!!

so, now both my kids are playing soccer...

no.im still NOT a "soccer mom"... im just the hippie mom camped out under a tree, sipping some tea, snapping an occasional picture of my enthusiastic little chloe bear. i dont have my starbucks latte, my expensive lounge chair, my cell phone glued to my ear. nor do i have any the intensity that some parents seem to have... shouting at their kids to run faster or kick harder. i simply watch my daughter interact with the other kids and with the instructor... i watch her listen to the directions and then attempt to do what she was told.. i watch her struggle..and i want to help but i hold back cause i know she'll get it down. and she does. and the biggest smile comes over her face. " i did it , mommy!" she screams. but i'm already looking right at her, smiling.. and watching.

pink hair? im into it..

chloe came home from school with pink hair. not that this is a big deal... i mean, the girl is a wild child and continues to surprise me with her incredible sense of adventure. i totally wasnt upset with her cause, well, ive been known to have experimented with hair color a time or two. it took 2 washes and a lot of scrubbing to get it out of her hair. she told me today that she wants blue hair next. oh man, just look at this face...

good god, am i in trouble...

me and mom took the kids to meet nick swisher a few weeks ago. um, yeah. let me tell you what a HUGE deal this was... not just to clay (who is a ginormous fan of swisher) but also to chloe and... ME. its no secret that i think swisher is a hot piece of ass... anyway, so we went to this signing at a credit union place or something along those lines. we brought along a ball and a baseball card to get signed.

here we are, acting retarded, standing in line..me and chloe's turn!!! dude, he's totally checking me out.

a boy meets his hero..

it was so awesome to see clay get to meet one of his idols. i mean, this kid knows all swisher's stats and never misses a game. swisher was so incredibly nice, too! he signed the baseball for chloe and told her that she needed more than just that so he grabbed a picture of himself, signed it, handed it to chloe and said, " you keep that one for yourself, okay?" i thought it was cute. so, yeah, he definitely won me over.. he he..

chloe and junie started dance today. they have such a fun time and look so damn adorable together. not to mention they totally dominate their class because they're, like, the best dancers... totally joking. well, not really. he he.... anyways, here they are, hamming it up:

miss chloe had her first day at gingerbread preschool today. my little social butterfly had no problem fitting right in...

she totally stole my hello kitty tote bag and used it as her "backpack".

what a fake smile. chloe was so comfortable in her new school. she gave me a quick kiss bye-bye and i snuck out the door...

clay's 1st soccer game of the season

my mr. man had his first soccer game of the year. his team name is the jackels (what the hell kind of name is that?) his tam won 2-0 and clayton assisted both goals that were made! i'm so proud of him. here's a couple action shots of clay:

been a while, huh

so... its been a while since i last blogged. been busy with shit. good and bad. mostly good though : ) anyways, ive totally been slacking in the blog department so ive decided that im gonna blog more often cause i guess its kind of therapeudic in a way. or at least thats what i get out of it. AND it gives me the chance to totally ramble on about nothing like im doing right now... yay!

today was nice and relaxing. met chloe's new teacher at her new school this morning. i like the school and the teacher seems nice but i want chloe to be in the same class as june and aden so i signed her up for the wait list for their class. the lady said we'll most likely get a transfer so me and chloe are both pumped! chloe and i went shopping after that. it was good times... especially when chloe picked out a shirt that she just HAD to have. she ripped the tag off and put it on before we even bought it. its orange and it has little miss sunshine on it. i have the same one in white. i thought it was pretty damn cute that chloe had to have the same shirt as mommy.. hmm... lori, pictures? picked clay up from la escuela and hung out for a bit until i dropped him at his buddy's house for a sleepover. clay's first soccer game is tomorrow... im stoked!
... cathy is having a baby. holy crap! right now she is giving birth. i cant believe how much it makes me think back to when i had my kiddos... wow. motherhood is wonderful... its madness. wonderful madness. yep.
and i love it.
