sunday rain

the kids and i just hung out at home on sunday... it was so nice. we've been so busy lately so it was rad to just hang out in our pj's and enjoy some quality fam time : ) we watched the rain falling outside, did some fabulous painting, and my kids actually played together the whole day!

love love love

this is chloe and the portrait she did of mommy. i asked her what is mommy holding in her hand? chloe said," its a knife for when you cut watermelon." um... okay chloe. ha ha ha

my masterpiece ha ha

chloe just adores her big brother!! i caught them cuddling together in clay's bed...

back to the point

i took the kids and my mom back to pigeon point yesterday. it was very foggy and pretty cold, but we bundled up and went exploring in the tidepools. i had taken chloe to the tidepools before but this time she was so curious and facinated by all the little creatures. her big brother told her all about the different animals we found... i was impressed at the knowledge he retained from our previous trip to pigeon point! we all had a really fun time...my mom took some pics of me and the kids:

clay and his "bat star"
i found an abalone shell!! score! my tennie tiny crabbie
clay loves it here!

me and my man
there were tons of sea stars!!

pretending its summer

well, with all the beautiful weather we've been having lately, chloe and i decided it was probably a good time for a pedicure... mommy-and-me style : ) chloe had to get her bathing suit on, ofcourse. we just sat outside and painted each other's toes. it was great! here is a before pic:

the supplies... complete with a rootbeer that we shared (chloe just had to get that in the picture... ha ha ha)

here's my multi-tasking daughter... painting her toes and posing for a picture at the same time.

chloe painted her nails purple and i opted for pink with white dots. it was rad to pretend it was summer that afternoon. i was tempted to break out the kiddy pool... hmm... maybe next time : )Posted by Picasa

pigeon point

i spent the last few days on a field trip with clay's class at pigeon point in pescadero, CA. it was such a great experience and me and clay both had a great time! we got to go to the tidepools, saw some massive elephant seals, hiked around the redwoods, and spent tons of quality time together... yay!

pigeon point:

some harbor seals... just chillin

clay found this sea urchin in the tidepools

best friends hanging out in a cool cave

one of our naturalists, "Mountain", leading us to the elephant seals. okay. so i had a little crush on this guy... i mean, his knowledge of nature just amazed me!! ... and it kinda turned me on too teee hee..

such big, beautiful creatures... the elephant seals

this is clay's teacher and some of his classmates. they are such a great group of kids! and his teacher is so rad! she is one year younger than me and we have so much in common, so it was nice to hang out with her and get to know her a little better

there were lots of fun activities for the parents and kids to enjoy

clay, standing inside a fallen redwood. the redwoods were awesome, as always. and i got a chance to kiss a banana slug for the very first time! i was stoked cause, well, its pretty much the best action i've had in a while... ha ha ha

i love these kids. really. they are all my little buddies and they made my trip so much fun!
