fish sticks

tonight clay wanted to make "his own" dinner. he chose fish sticks. i told him how to use the oven (turn it on, set the correct temperature, set a timer). he made them all by himself... even waited by the oven as the timer counted down. i asked him how they tasted and he replied, "Really good. Even better because I made them." then he asked me if he could help me make dinner more often. such a sweetheart my mr. man is. and he loves his mamma... he even hangs out with me during lunch while i'm working at his school! makes my heart melt. makes me so very proud to be his mom.
